October (contd.)
After about an hour or so, we went to the rooftop once more.
The place had become very hot. Our trip was also coming to an
end. Last four days had been sheer bliss! We had enjoyed every
moment! |

In the last
hundred hours or so we had traveled a lot. We had seen
almost everything, except for sea. If only we had one
more day to spare, we would have been to Kovalam beach
or some other exotic beach that the state boasts of. |

| The
Toddy effect was slowly withdrawing. The minds were becoming
light but we were heavy in our hearts. The trip was coming to an
end... :-( |

We reached
Alleppy at around 1300 hours. We were once again in the
mainland. The backwaters were gone and the trip actually
came to an end. We had a simple lunch and then headed
for the station. It was time for us to catch the train
to Chennai. |

| The
journey was quite eventful, for we kept playing 3-cards for a
long time. We stopped when at one point I lost very heavily and
decided it was time for dinner and some real sleep as well!
Next day early morning, we returned to our den - Chennai. And
we were hurrying as usual to catch the company bus!
