I owe all my
successes to my parents. They
have always supported me in
whatever I have wished to do.
We are very close and enjoy
each moment when we get
together. Going home is sheer
fun for one overwhelming reason:
Food!
My mother is a great cook and
she takes so much care to
prepare a dish that it has to be
just mouthwatering! Even now,
she keeps on experimenting. Keep
it up, maa!
My mother's everyday life
mostly keeps shuttling between
the kitchen and the puja
griha . But in spite of
that, she finds time for her
social activities. She has been
associated with 2 NGOs (Vivekananda
Seva Sadan, Ichapur, WB and
Netaji Sishu Udyaan, Belgharia,
WB) for a long time. |

Ohhhhh... yes, she only introduced me to the world of
arts when I was just 4 years old!
My father happens to be a very good Contract Bridge
and Chess player. And it was frustrating to find him
discourage me to take up these games seriously when I
was in school. Why? It would affect my studies!
Well, looking back, I guess he did the right thing and
when I got through IIT and came back home for the first
summer vacation, he taught me the basics of Bridge. But
I could never pursue it properly because not many people
of my age play Bridge and so I never had a good partner
except Shuvro (IIT KGP - EE - AZAD - 97).
My father used to work for Metal & Steel Factory,
Ichapur (Ordinance Factory, Ministry of Defense) and is
now happily retired. My mother has been a very happy
housewife all her life. |
