| During my 2
years stay at Jamshedpur, I and my friends did lots of biking. We just loved it and the
place provided many great places to visit also. The most memorable trip was this one : Jamshedpur - Ranchi -
Rajrappa - Netarhat - back to Jamshedpur. What a trip it was! I and my friends
started from Tata Steel's G.T.Hostel 1 in the early winter morning of 23rd Jan 1998. We
went to Ranchi (120 kms), then to Rajrappa (90 kms from Ranchi) and back to Ranchi at
night for rest. Next day we went to Netarhat (160 kms from Ranchi) and spent the night
there. On the third and final day, we came back to Jamshedpur a 3 AM in the night! We
covered more than 800 kms.
We braved everything from express highways to muddy
village roads, dense winter fogs and unusual rains; we also had high speed drives to zero
visibility night drive!!! Thats why we call this one as the mother of all trips! |
